Duck Ponds High School welcomes new learners and ensures a smooth admission process. Whether applying for Grade 8, transferring from another school, or repeating matric, students must meet specific academic and administrative requirements. Below are the key criteria and necessary documents for enrolment.

Grade 8 admissions

To apply for Grade 8, learners must:

• Have successfully completed Grade 7 at a recognized primary school.
• Submit a Grade 7 final report card.
• Meet the school’s placement criteria (space availability and academic performance).

Grade 9 – 11 transfers

Learners transferring from another high school must:

• Provide their latest school report.
• Submit a transfer letter from their previous school.
• Present a disciplinary record (if required).
• Meet subject and academic requirements.

Grade 12 admissions (special cases)

• Returning learners (matric repeaters) must consult the school administration for available space and requirements.
• New applicants for Grade 12 may be considered under exceptional circumstances (e.g., relocation, school closure, or valid academic reasons)
